Diya Shah is a UK-based artist. Shah constructs narratives based on her experiences, adding her comedic twist. Questioning the stereotype of South Asian people in Western society, she acts as a voice of representation for her demographic, being a young British South Asian woman.

Influenced by Sarah Bahbah, Shah also takes a multi-media approach, working with photography and moving image, she creates installation pieces that the audience can find relatable.

Shah shows interest in her Indian culture, interrogating the values that she has been raised with, whilst also dealing with the idea of growing up, questioning her identity and place in the world.
